2019 Le Pauillac de Château Latour

When Frederic Engerer took over the running of Chateau Latour in 1995, he had a clear brief from the owner Francois Pinault to create the best possible Chateau Latour each year from then on to firmly established Chateau Latour’s image as first amongst equals in the First Growths of the Bordeaux elite. Hence followed a much stricter selection at every stage of the creation of the Grand Vin, in the vineyards, in the tanks and in the barrels before bottling. The result was that more and more of what used to go into Chateau Latour now finds its way in the third wine, Pauillac de Latour, making it even more luscious.
