The Producer

The name Clos des Moines (clos of the monks), fist appearing in 1874, is the site of a former Templar estate. Abandoned after a great frost in 1950's, the site has been planted and replanted at more than one point in its history. The most recent was an intensive replanting process, in order to attain St. Emillion Grand Cru status in 2012. Today, the land boasts dense plantings of Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet France and Cabernet Sauvignon, each of which enter the blend in their own proportion to produce a rich wine with spicy complexity and great potential for aging
