Silver Oak began over a handshake between two friends, Ray Twomey Duncan and Justin Meyer, with a bold vision: focus on one varietal, Cabernet Sauvignon, aged exclusively in American oak and worthy of cellaring for decades to come. In 2001 Justin retired selling his share to the Duncan family and Silver Oak in now owned and operated by Ray’s sons, David and Tim Duncan. Silver Oak Alexander Valley is the world’s first winery to achieve LEED Platinum for building, design and construction.
