Jolie-Pitt-Perrin ‘Miraval’ Côtes de Provence Rosé 2019

Hints of passion fruit give a vibrant, youthful edge to the other scents of pink grapefruit and lime in Miraval’s 2019 Cotes de Provence Rose. It’s medium-bodied, with pretty straightforward, citrusy flavors and a crisp, refreshing finish. For those who don’t know, this is the Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie property being managed in partnership with the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel, but this bottling also incorporates non-estate fruit.

• When Angelina Jolie and Brad Pritt acquired this 55 acre property a few years ago, they inherited, within these 55 acres, about 15 acres of vineyards that were not in the best condition. Local experts told them of a great wine that was produced from the estate in the past. The great wine lover that Brad Pitt is, he decided to reinstate the estate to its former glory. For this venture he chose wisely to partner with The iconic producer of nearby Chateauneuf du Pape, Château de Beaucastel, which is owned and run by the Perrin family.
• The first vintage 2012 received straight away critical acclaim, from top wine critics and because of the added appeal of the owners, the meager 2012 production was sold out within one week.
