Set in Sarateno in southern Tuscany, in an area with no viticultural history, Tenuta di Trinoro was established by brilliant, maverick winemaker, Andrea Franchetti, using entirely Bordeaux varietals in creating a stunning wine with consistently high ratings by the world’s top wine critics including Robert Parker. Although with 2007 he has released just his 10th vintage, he is already commanding prices in excess of 3 times of Sassicaia, the trend-setting super-Tuscan of its genre. Trinoro is already one of the most iconic wines being made in Tuscany today and its maker Francetti the new star of the region
