They are still with us in this way and we can immerse ourselves in those post-war years, when they rebuilt the cellars and vineyards, destroyed during the Occupation, by the ocean.

It is called Renaissance, because the eaux de vie were miraculously preserved during the war in an underground cellar that was walled up during the Occupation. This cognac is made exclusively from Cognac premier cru (first growth), the Grande Champagne.

The Godet VSOP is characterized by very well integrated tannins combined with some elements of f lorality on the nose. On the palate there are supple f lavours of hazelnuts and peach jam. All together this creates a mellow and suave cognac with a present but velvety persistence in the mouth

VS is the youngest cognac produced by Godet. A careful blend of two viticultural Crus in the cognac region, the Fins Bois and Bon Bois. It provides a well integrated nose, round mouth and smooth finish, making this VS a very drinkable young cognac. This fine brandy is distilled by a master distiller with many years of experience. It is then aged in the finest barrels carefully selected for their tannins.
