The fruit is sourced from a historic plot of vines known as ‘Les Rocs’, with the makers priding themselves on a minimal intervention policy, over a long duration of vinification. Upon pouring, Barthelemy has as purple-Red Nose, it boasts a rich array of aromas which seem to evoke a basket of perfectly ripe grapes. The palate is luxurious and complex, balancing great depth of flavour with a silky lightness of touch. The finish is seductive with a hint of mystery. An ideal partner for all grilled meats, game, mushrooms and refined, delicate ingredients.

This wine, a young vintage has a garnet robe, tending towards ruby. It is ageworthy and is likely to delovop orange hues to even onion peel if given time.
